It’s no secret that Bruce Lee was “‘The man’, ‘That’s a baaad boy’, ‘The master’…”   Now you too can kick butt when it comes to driving traffic to your website or blog.  Traffic is essential to internet success and there are a few ways to go about getting tremendous amounts of it.  Sometimes, conventional ads are just not enough!  I would like to share a few ways that work great for me.

First, lets start with a marketing method that should never be use. You should stay away from email marketing because although some websites may promote “safe lists,” these lists are not always safe!  If too many people report your email as spam not only will there be legal repercussions, your website can be black listed from major search engines.  Email marketing does more harm than good!

One of the best ways to drive traffic to your website is by using FREE classified ads. There are many different websites that provide the opportunity to distribute classified ads however, as with anything there are some programs that work better than others. The best free classified ad network that I have found is Craigslist.org. Craigslist.org allows you to create ads 100% free and target consumers in specific regions of the country.

Another way of building a great amount of traffic to your website is by using social media websites such as FaceBook.com and Twitter.com  When using social networks to market your website or blog, it is important to remember that social networks were created for people to socialize.  This means that people are not part of a social network to receive ads from you.  However, it is alright to send ads as long as you don’t send too many. If you send too many it will be viewed as spam and may have legal backlash.  When using social networks you should follow a general rule that for every ad placed, you should send out 10 non advertisement messages.  This will allow you to promote without spamming.  Also, remember adding too many friends at once may be looked at as spam as well.  You should keep friend requests to a maximum of 35 per day.

Another method that I have found to drive traffic to any website or blog is through the process of article marketing.  You can use several different free programs to market articles.  Free traffic system is a really good system that allows you to promote your website by writing one article that will later be submitted to anywhere from 30 to 50 blogs with your back links in each article.  Also, you can use websites such as HubPages.com and SelfGrowth.com to drive traffic to your website through articles.  Article marketing drives traffic in two ways.  People will have the opportunity to click your links in each article, and these links also help when it comes to search engine optimization.  More links equal better search engine results.

Finally, traffic exchanges are another good way to drive traffic to your website. Using traffic exchanges is simple. All you need to do is create an ad and surf the different ads presented in the system. For each website you look at, a visitor will be sent to you in most cases. There are quite a few traffic exchanges you could try, but you may want to start first by checking out TrafficAdBar.com. TrafficAdBar.com provides me with a great deal of traffic every day!
